The Engagement Ring Paperweight
On Christmas morning 2004, Mike and I went up to his parents for
Christmas breakfast and to exchange gifts with his family. After he gave
everyone his gifts, he handed me a bag and told me here were my stocking
stuffers.
I first opened the bag and pulled out a huge engagement ring
paperweight (HAHA, I totally thought it was a joke, I had been bugging him
about it forever!). At the bottom of the bag, there was a skinny box wrapped.
I opened it, and it was an Italian Charm link bracelet. I wanted to see what it
said, so I opened the box. The only think I saw was "YOU", I thought it said I
LOVE YOU so I continued to read around the bracelet.
To my surprise, it read
"WILL YOU MARRY ME". As I looked up, I saw him holding the ring in its box. I
began to scream and shake and scream! It was amazing, like nothing I had ever
pictured. But, I would not change it for one second, it was the greatest moment
of my life!
